David Secrest

Sculpture pertains to objects intentionally conceived for emotional, intellectual and perceptual engagement.

My basis for the conception of purely sculptural work is rooted in a search for archetype. Guided by self-imposed boundaries within the material process, my intent is to create objects that reflect an aesthetic derived from our collective culture and to invite the intellect towards distraction.
